Placed over the conventional insulation layer in the attic, a drop of 32 ºC is attained. This means that the conventional insulation has to resist 5 ºC of temperature difference instead of 37 degrees. The stored heat is released during the night time.
Under these conditions, SWICH is able to reflect and delay over 70% of the incoming heat flux.

Timber Frame HousIng

Individual houses, especially, low thermal mass constructions like timber frame houses, have an intrinsic issue during summer assuming that they are well insulated for the winter. With low thermal mass, heat is not dissipated during the summer. SWICH will absorb the excess heat during the day and release it during the night. SWICH can be placed on ceilings, walls or floors. Renovations allow usually only for ceiling and walls placing

Office Buildings

Office buildings are great energy users for comfort. SWICH placed on drop ceilings and/or inside dividing walls, will substantially modulate the temperature ranges and, thus, allow for longer air conditioning and heating cycles, or in other terms, great energy savings. Even in open space situations, the application of SWICH will be noticed both by the users and by the electricity bills.

Schools

Schools demand great quantities of energy to maintain comfort levels in winter and in summer. The new demands for good ventilation creates a problem over a problem. Classrooms have to be ventilated every hour. Ventilation  moves heat in or out of the classrooms. With an incremented thermal inertia, this is suppressed both in summer and in winter. Although thermal comfort does not ensure good academic results, discomfort surely contributes to less desirable outcomes.
In winter, if the heating systems are not left working, even at lower temperatures, the upbringing of the temperatures will offset any savings. SWICH will contribute to a substantial reduction of energy consumption.

Example of drop ceiling installation. About 50 m²/hour. Fast food restaurant installed 200 m² in 4 hours prior to customer service.

ON drop ceiling applications, no mechanical or chemical fixation is needed.
